You ever notice how quiet doubt can be? It doesn’t yell. It just lingers. Creeps in when you’re about to make a move. That voice that asks, “Are you sure you can pull this off?”
I heard that voice loud and clear the day I decided to walk away from teaching after 9 years. PE was familiar. Safe. I knew the system. I had the schedule. But deep down, I felt called to more — to serve differently. To lead differently.
That’s when Pete Proformance stopped being a side hustle and started becoming a calling. And right there in that transition? Doubt sat in the front row, arms crossed, waiting for me to flinch.
But instead of running from it, I listened.
Not to shrink, but to sharpen.
Doubt made me question everything — but in a good way. “Is your message clear? Is your method strong? Are you really ready to step into this?” And those questions forced me to level up.
Truth is, doubt’s been one of my best coaches. It didn’t give me answers, but it made me dig deep to find them. It pushed me to get clearer on who I serve, how I serve, and why I can’t afford to play small anymore.
So if you're staring down your own leap — wondering if you're ready, worthy, or wired for it — listen to that doubt. Let it guide you, not grip you.
Sometimes, the discomfort is just confirmation that you’re headed in the right direction.
